Completed for a global agricultural commodity distributor
Concentric facilitated environmental permitting for a rail spur upgrade at a grain storage and distribution facility in Viking, Alberta. The planned route of the track extension crossed a portion of a wetland and thus required a Wetland Impact Assessment to obtain Water Act Approval for the construction. Compensation for the wetland area loss was arranged with Ducks Unlimited Canada and the final Water Act application was submitted to Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development on behalf of the client. The application and supporting studies/documentation were completed within three weeks of authorization to sustain an expedited construction timeline.
