Completed for a service station maintenance company
Concentric Geoscience was retained to assess a preliminary source area remedial excavation following the removal of two abandoned USTs from a gasoline service station near Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Results from exploratory test pitting and verification sampling within the excavation identified remaining on-site impacts and the potential for off-site migration. A follow-up borehole investigation involving the assessment of soil, groundwater and soil vapour enabled the Concentric geoscience team to develop appropriate site specific remediation targets and a pragmatic, low-cost Corrective Action Plan involving ex-situ bio-remediation.
