Concentric’s geoscience team was retained to provide holistic geo-environmental consulting services to a multinational cement manufacturer that had heavy metals-impacted stockpiles of process feedstock and by-product at one of their primary facilities. The work was undertaken to manage/mitigate environmental risk for site operations, as well as to support a proposed municipal drainage works project, scheduled to traverse a portion of the affected area. Concentric’s geoscience consulting services involved extensive sampling and analysis for waste characterization, waste treatability/disposal options analysis, environmental site assessment of the area underlying and surrounding the stockpiles, volume calculations and confirmatory sampling.
